Membership dues are only $10 per person. Did you know that grandparents, parents, students, teachers, staff, neighbors, community members can all sign up to be PTA members? Each $10 membership helps support the students with things like field trips/buses, events, assemblies, school supplies as well as helps teachers/staff with school improvements, appreciation events, mini-grants and so much more.
Membership dues are deposited directly into the PTA bank account and then the PTA exec. board allocates funds to the budget. By paying dues, you are now a PTA member, who has voting rights during association meetings, is able to provide input directly to the board as well as receives some cool Membership Perks each year.
A common misconception is by paying the $10 dues you are then obligated to volunteer and become an active PTA board member. This is not the case...you can simply pay your dues and choose how much or little you would like to be involved throughout the year. Of course, we are always looking for helping hands so feel free to contact us with your availability! Remember that PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association and not Parents To Avoid.
