I am noticing some fantastic Bucket Fillers at Alcott. Our students and staff are embracing the concepts around kindness and compassion. We are creating a school environment that values “I statements” and holds our TEAM accountable for creating a positive and caring school environment for our staff, students, and our community. We are that "positive adult influence".

The importance of Black History Month. Our classrooms are engaging students in this year’s Black History Month focus. We are leading discussions and lessons that aim to counter negative and racist stereotypes.

This week’s FWOW (Feeling Word of the Week) is CONFIDENCE. Be sure to use this word with your children at home, during dinner time conversations, and at family time. Our classroom teachers will be engaging students in what it means to HAVE CONFIDENCE
Pizza with the Principal next week will be celebrating 9 Leaders and Scholars from Ms. Payton, Ms. Beane, Ms. Bennett’s classrooms. Students will be selected by teachers for demonstrating what it means to be a bucket filler at Alcott. Be Kind: Be a Bucket Filler!
Lost and Found: reminder: next Friday marks our 14-day promise! All lost and found items that are in the "black bag" that are not claimed after 14 days will be donated.
Mark your calendars: NO SCHOOL February 18th and 21st. Minimum Day schedule Friday, February 25th (TK-5th grades only). This is a staff professional development day for grades TK-5.
