2022-24 SGT: Alcott Site Governance Team is finalized. Your parent representatives are: Jill Anderson, Heather Nix, and Joey Scarafone. These amazing parent representatives will join me, Ms. Groves, Ms. Pray, Ms. Graham, Ms. Payton, and Ms. Summers as your newly elected Site Governance Team. Our agendas and topics will be shared on our website.
An important message from our school counselor, Ms. Campbell:
Starting May 5th, our school will be administering the Measurable Results Assessment (MRA), a survey and reporting system designed to provide insights into the progress of our school. To provide a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, the MRA includes three different surveys; 1) one completed by all school staff, 2) one completed by students in grades 4 and above, and 3) one completed by the families of students in all grades.
We hope you will participate so we can use the feedback to make our school an even better place for students and families. If you have any questions about the surveys or wish to see a list of questions, please contact me directly at [email protected]
FAMILY SURVEY
WHAT: Online survey completed by one member of each household.
● Survey typically takes about 5 minutes to complete
● Questions relate to the experiences you and your child have at our school.
● Answers are anonymous--to encourage people to be honest and open, no names and other identifying information will be collected.
WHEN: The survey is now available for you to take through MAY 31st
HOW: The survey can be taken from any computer, smartphone, or tablet with internet access,
Lost and Found: Reminder: all items left on our lost and found rack will be placed in a bag with Monday’s date. Our Lost and Found rack will be in front of the school for the next few days. After 14 days, all items will be donated to Goodwill.
Mark your calendars: Open House on May 19th from 5:00-6:30. We will have the Clairemont HS Band on-site along with the Marston Middle School Robotics team. Can’t wait to see our families back at school.
Pizza w/ the Principal will feature leaders and scholars from Ms. Summers, Ms. Brakespear, Ms. Payton.
We are still trying to offer our families a chance for employment at Alcott: Are you or someone you know interested in working at Alcott and joining our amazing team? We have paid positions available and providing jobs for our families is a goal of mine. Be part of this movement!
This week’s Feeling Word of the Week (FWOW) is JOYFUL. Be sure to check out our Whiteboard that will display the FWOW and have a new message for our school community. This whiteboard will be out near the crosswalk each morning and at dismissal. Be sure to engage your children weekly with our FWOW.
